Have you ever found yourself wanting to capture the perfect snapshot of your Sims in Create a Sim (CAS), only to be hindered by their constant movement and fidgeting? I can relate, and I’m sure many fellow Simmers can too.
CAS offers an optimal setting for capturing all the intricate details of your Sims’ appearances, making it a prime location for taking screenshots. Even if your computer or gaming system isn’t capable of running the game at maximum graphic settings, CAS provides a crystal-clear and high-definition platform for showcasing your Sims’ features.
It’s no surprise, then, that the demand for CAS pose packs is so high. After all, what better way to keep your Sims still and capture their best angles than with carefully crafted poses?
Without further ado, here are some of the top CAS pose packs that are definitely worth checking out if you want to take your Sim photography to the next level.
1. Toddler Pose Pack #01 by SamanthaGump

Let’s turn our attention to the most adorable of all Sims: Toddlers.
These little ones are cute, lovable, and thankfully, they don’t suffer from the weird-looking, animated-baby-doll syndrome that plagued the Toddlers in Sims 3. (Not throwing shade, but let’s be real – unmodded Sims 3 Toddlers were kinda creepy).
Despite my lack of skills in CAS, I’ve managed to create some visually delightful Toddler Sims that I’m always eager to immortalize in screenshots – because you always want to showcase your best work.
Now, while the basic trait animations are fine for testing different expressions, they are somewhat limited. If you really want to showcase your tiny tot’s charm, you’ll want to check out SamanthaGump’s Toddler Pose Pack #01.
This pack features 15 basic, model-esque poses that are simply too precious for words. Your little Toddlers & Tiaras star will look absolutely stunning in these poses, and they’ll be sure to steal your heart in no time. So, if you’re looking to up your Sim photography game, this starter pack is definitely worth checking out.
2. Child CAS Poses #04 by SamanthaGump

Moving on to the next age group up, we have SamanthaGump’s Child CAS Poses #04, which features nine unique poses specifically designed for Child Sims.
As someone who typically just ages up their Sims and takes whatever EA’s genetics generator gives them, I have to say, these poses made my Child Sim look pretty darn cute. And that’s saying something, since I don’t usually pay much attention to their appearances.
While the preview photos showcase a Female model, I think most of the poses in this set could work for both Male and Female children. It’s all a matter of perspective, really.
Overall, I think SamanthaGump did an excellent job creating age-appropriate poses for Child Sims, and this pack is definitely worth checking out if you want to add some variety to your Sim photography.
3. Male Pose CAS Set by BYANXHLOVE

CAS Traits: Unflirty
It’s surprising to find that there are fewer pose pack options available for Male Sims than there are for Female Sims, and even fewer that are unisex. However, I wanted to ensure that I included some sets that were specifically designed for Male models to keep things fair.
One such set that caught my eye was BYANXHLOVE’s Male Pose CAS Set. This pack is already an early favorite of mine, as it perfectly captures the confident and alluring Alpha-male look, complete with the classic thumb on chin pose.
What’s even more amusing is the fact that the CAS trait for this set is Unflirty – a stark contrast to the poses themselves, which are undeniably flirty and alluring. Just take a look at the preview photos and you’ll see what I mean.
If you’re looking to add some macho flair to your Sim photography, this set is definitely worth a look.
4. Male Poses #04 CAS by HelgaTisha

CAS Traits: Dance Machine
This pose pack by HelgaTisha is truly impressive, offering an abundance of high-quality poses that are well worth your attention.
With 22 individual poses to choose from, you’re sure to find a pose that perfectly captures the essence of your Male Sim. What’s even more impressive is how many of the poses are variations on a theme, using subtle changes to create entirely new poses. A small adjustment to the facial expression, a tilt of the head, or a shift in posture can result in an entirely different look.
These poses are incredibly versatile, covering a wide range of moods and emotions, from friendly and approachable to cool and confident, and even dark and brooding. There’s something here for every kind of Male Sim.
Overall, I highly recommend giving this pack a try if you’re looking to add some dynamic and eye-catching poses to your Sim photography. With so many options to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect pose for your Male Sim.

These poses feature a slightly angled face, a dazzling (if not just a wee bit awkward) smile, and expressions ranging from uncertain and bashful to pretty darn self-assured.

8. Man (CAS Poses, Trait Evil) by Beto_ae0

Check out this set of poses for male Sims with the “Evil” trait by Beto_ae0. As the name suggests, these poses exude a certain level of masculinity that is not overly aggressive. There are ten poses in total, with some of them slightly flexing, but none of them are too exaggerated or suggestive. They’re pretty standard poses that you’d expect from a male model, but the expressions are spot on. The poses convey confidence without being too cocky. If you’re looking for poses that are not too over-the-top for your male Sims, this set is definitely worth checking out.
9. Blackpink Poses V2 by daisylove126

Check out this pose pack created by daisylove126! The Blackpink Poses V2 pack is perfect for Sims who love K-Pop or anyone looking for unique and practical poses that photograph well. 12. Model Poses In Game + CAS by ratboysims

CAS Traits: Materialistic
Great recommendation! Ratboysims has always been known for creating high-quality pose packs and this one is no exception. It’s always a plus when custom poses don’t warp or distort the Sim models, as it can really take away from the immersion of the game. And the fact that this pack has a playful and lighthearted vibe is definitely a plus. Thanks for sharing!

14. Greedy Pose by roselipa

CAS Traits: Geek
Check Out This Pose Pack
CAS Traits: Geek
To be honest, I don’t quite understand why roselipa named this pose pack “Greedy.”
At first, I thought there was a Greedy trait that I missed, but then I saw that the poses could be unlocked using the Geek trait. So, the title left me a little confused.
But regardless of the name, I appreciate the feel of this pose pack. It combines the previous Beauty Portrait pack by the same creator (roselipa) and ratboysims’s Hands Up pack.
The expressions and hand gestures accentuate the character’s features and frames their face, making it an excellent choice for showcasing your Sim’s aesthetics.
15. Basic Poses #1 by yun-sims

In this simple yet charming CAS pose pack, yun-sims presents us with seven straightforward poses for female Sims. These poses capture the wholesome, bashful stances that people might adopt when having their picture taken.
Unlike other packs that may give off a sultry or exaggerated vibe, Basic Poses #1 is all about simplicity and capturing those everyday moments.
The poses are indeed basic, but this is precisely why they work so well. They are perfect for showcasing the little details of your Sim, and the expressions are easily translated even with custom skin or skin replacements, without any issues of warping or clipping.
Overall, this is an excellent pack to have for those who want to capture the authentic, natural moments of their Sims.
