Fireplaces – you either adore them or despise them. But let’s be real, they can totally transform the ambiance of a room. Whether it’s for better or worse, that’s a matter of personal preference.
Personally, I’m all about them – I can’t get enough!
Admittedly, fireplaces may not be practical during the hotter months. But when it’s nippy outside, nothing compares to the warmth and comfort of a crackling fire. And decking them out during the holiday season is pure magic – even in The Sims!
The trouble is, the default fireplace options in the base game are pretty limited, and they don’t reflect the full spectrum of architectural styles that exist within The Sims community. I mean, let’s face it – there are only four fireplaces to choose from.
That’s just not going to cut it. We need choices that are as diverse as our imaginations, and we can thank custom content creators for making that possible.
And lucky for us, this list of Maxis-Match CC has all the variety you need to create the perfect cozy home for your Sims, tailored to your exact specifications.
1. Diagonal “Heat Seeker” Fireplace

The “Heat Seeker” Fireplace: Now on CC
Most floorplans just don’t allow for a conventional fireplace that has to be mounted flat against a wall. You either end up giving up valuable floor space, natural light, or making the room too cluttered.
Let’s face it, fireplaces are hardly subtle – they tend to become the focal point of the space, dictating where all the furniture and decor goes.
In my case, it often ends up as the central point of my builds. But that’s only because I’m wary of any furniture pieces placed too close, lest a stray spark set the whole place ablaze!
But I get it, not everyone wants a fireplace to be the showstopper of the room, especially in modern builds. That’s where a diagonal fireplace comes in as the perfect compromise.
With this CC, your Sims will still have a toasty source of heat and a mantelpiece for displaying cherished family photos, but it will be tucked away in a corner, sleek and unobtrusive.
Plus, there’s an added mesh override that incorporates a ledge at the base of the fireplace. It might be tough to explain why, but that little bit of framing at the bottom gives it a polished look, especially when it’s nestled in a corner.
2. TS2 to TS4 Retro Fireplace

Retro Fireplace from TS2 to TS4
Have you seen this CC yet? It’s a retro fireplace that’s almost identical to the one from The Sims 3, which I absolutely loved. It’s a fantastic corner piece and the smallest heat source you can get your hands on.
This uniquely-shaped, almost alien-looking design was all the rage in the ’60s and continued to be a fixture in homes for a few decades after that. LOolyharb1 managed to convert it from The Sims 2, and let me tell you – it’s just as awesome now as it was back in 2004.
Well, I’m assuming it is since I was still in diapers at the time and hadn’t discovered the life-changing magic of The Sims just yet.
If you’re struggling to fit the typical square fireplaces into your builds, you’ll find this one to be quite handy. With its 8 vibrant swatches, you can place it off to the side and it’ll blend right in.
And don’t be fooled into thinking that just because it’s a conversion from a 17-year-old game that it’s purely decorative. Somehow, the creator made it a fully functioning fireplace complete with all the expected animations.
3. The Warm ‘n’ Toasty Fireplace

Cozy ‘n’ Rustic Stone Fireplace
Who doesn’t dream of a warm and toasty fireplace on chilly nights? And nothing feels quite as cozy as an old-fashioned, rustic stone fireplace.
These are perfect for cabins and cottage-style homes, or anywhere you’d like to add a touch of country charm.
Menaceman44 really outdid themselves with this CC. They took the mesh from a fireplace in The Sims 2 Bon Voyage pack, but completely reworked it to fit seamlessly into The Sims 4.
I swear, you could stare at this for hours and never guess it wasn’t an official Sims 4 item.
The fireplace itself is crafted from stones, which come in a variety of swatches and boast an ultra-Maxis Match look.
And the mantle? It’s a real log. How charming is that?
4. Holiday Celebration Fireplace Recolors

It’s hard to imagine the holiday season without the warmth and cheer of a fireplace. There’s something magical about the flickering flames and the cozy ambiance that a well-decorated fireplace can provide.
As a Sims player, I was ecstatic when the Holiday Celebration Pack was released for The Sims 4, which included a lovely fireplace complete with festive decorations.
However, I soon realized that the swatches for the fireplace changed the color of the decorations as well, making it difficult to achieve the exact look I wanted.
Thankfully, with this amazing mod, created by Simmer, I can now customize the color of the fireplace and the decorations separately. With a variety of options to choose from, including red ribbons on brown or green ribbons on white, I can now create the perfect holiday vibe in my Sims’ homes.
If you’re a fan of the holiday season and love decorating your Sims’ homes to match the occasion, then this mod is an absolute must-have.
5. A Tiny Fireplace For Tiny Houses

I love the simplicity of tiny houses – everything serves a purpose and nothing is wasted.
And when it comes to fireplaces, it’s no different. You don’t need anything fancy, just something that’ll keep you warm.
This tiny fireplace is perfect for small builds. It’s a simple wood burner, and it’s wall-mounted – meaning it won’t take up valuable floor space.
What’s great about this CC is that it comes in three different sizes, so it’ll fit any ceiling height.
And let’s talk about the chimney – something that a lot of fireplaces in The Sims 4 seem to be missing. But not this one! It adds a nice touch of realism, and makes sure your Sims won’t be breathing in any smoke.
If you’re looking for a minimalistic fireplace for your tiny house, this one is definitely worth checking out.

7. Athena Sims 4’s Fireplace Recolors

Athena Sims 4 has done it again with another amazing set of recolors! If you’re tired of the limited swatches available in the base game and packs, then this CC will be a game changer for you. With new wood swatches for various fireplaces, including some from expansion packs, you’ll have more options than ever before. Even the Cats & Dogs fireplace, which is already a fan favorite, gets an upgrade with extra white and black options that really highlight its beautiful brick structure. And if you have Vintage Glamour Stuff, these modern brown and cream shades will allow you to incorporate the old-timey fireplace into any home, regardless of its style. Trust me, you won’t want to miss out on these amazing fireplace recolors.
8. Gothic Fireplace From TS3

That sounds like a grand addition to any home, especially those going for a darker, more Gothic vibe. The level of detail and size of the fireplace could really make a statement in a larger room, and the stone texture adds a sense of history and weight to the overall design. It’s also great to see CC creators bringing over content from previous games, giving players a wider range of options to choose from.9. Brick Fireplaces

It’s great to see CC creators giving classic designs like brick and wood fireplaces a modern touch while still maintaining their traditional charm. These two fireplaces sound like they would fit perfectly in any cozy home. The longer, three-tile model would be especially great for larger living spaces, while the smaller fireplace would work well in a more intimate setting. It’s always nice to have a variety of options when it comes to home decor in The Sims 4.
10. Basic Belle Fireplace

This CC offering is perfect for those who value simplicity and functionality in their interior design. The Basic Belle Fireplace is a modern, rectangular style fireplace that is sure to blend seamlessly with any room. The understated elegance of this piece is achieved through subtle design details like the two-tiered base and matching mantlepiece. While some may find it to be too basic, I find that this is precisely what makes it so versatile and easy to incorporate into any decor scheme. With three convenient slots for decorations and clutter, you can add your personal touch to this piece and make it truly your own. Overall, the Basic Belle Fireplace is a great choice for those who prefer a minimalist approach to their interior design.
